I’ve been going here for years now and have always had a very lovely experience and have left very satisfied with my hair. My most recent visit I was helped by Angelina who was very receptive to the haircut I wanted, paid great attention to detail and truly blew me away with the results of my haircut. I highly recommend her and this studio for any type of hair care you are looking for!

I went to Jaxx for a haircut earlier this week and they did an unbelievably fabulous job!! I simply cannot find sufficient words for how confident and satisfied I was when I left the salon. For context: I had been putting off getting a haircut for a year. And like many people, I’m apprehensive about ceding control to someone else about something as personal as hair, so I was nervous about finding a new stylist... But Jaxx was so easygoing and friendly, and most importantly, they are a total professional. So my qualms were instantly gone. I highly recommend this salon, and I feel lucky to have found such a skilled stylist.

My Wifes hair was destroyed by Greatclips,she came home balling her eyes out. I called legacy and told them the situation and they had her an apointment same day 2 hours later.it took the stylest and the owner 1.5 hours to fix my poor wifes hair but when we left she was smiling and didnt want to put a bag over her head.can not thank you girls enough for getting her in on such short notice and being as meticulous as you both were to fix her hair so that she was happy. Will be the only place my wife goes to get her hair cut from here on out.

First time to salon and to Alayna. Lots of action going on which was a bit noisy but didn’t mind because the chatter all sounded upbeat! Alayna asked lots of questions and listened to what I said which resulted in just a bit shorter, nicely cleaned up and much tidier version of the cut I already had. Will trust her to make more changes knowing she’s paying attention to what I want. And what a delightful young woman; she’s full of energy and radiating positivity!

Jaxx did incredible work. They perfectly achieved the hair color I was going for. They bleached my buzz-cut with nearly no irritation or itchiness, which speaks to their ability and expertise. They were personable, friendly, positive, and enjoyable to work with. Jaxx made me feel comfortable to select the hair style I wanted. They gave professional feedback and recommendations when needed/requested, but I always felt like I was “in control ” of the final outcome. They took the time to explain the process and update me as we went, which I appreciated since it was my first time ever dye-ing my hair. I felt taken care of, respected, and nurtured, especially during the hair washing process. I highly recommend booking with Jaxx!

This was my first time going to Legacy Hair Co. I was lucky enough to have Alayna cut my hair and color my roots. She was a great listener and asked the perfect questions. Best haircut I’ve ever had! The washing was also the best experience I’ve ever had had. The chairs are so comfy and the aromatherapy was a really nice and relaxing touch. Nathaly was so sweet and she knocked it out of the park with the haircut. Already booked my next appointment!

Incredible experience at Legacy Hair Co today! I booked with Jinger off of a recommendation and I had a wonderful time! She made me feel welcomed and relaxed in her chair within seconds. Professional,  kind, and humorous the whole way through. Listened to all of my desires and was able to translate it into a stunning haircut!! Jinger has seemingly endless knowledge on styling and product recommendations. You can tell she is exceptionally passionate about her craft; I will certainly book again soon!!

The salon itself is beautiful inside! Very clean, light, and modern. I love that I can book online and get text reminders regarding my appointments too! Update 7/12/2025: I had the pleasure of receiving a cut from Abby! I was a little late and fully expected to reschedule, but she was able to squeeze me in! She did a MAGNIFICENT job! I had gone far too long between cuts and it became so difficult to manage my hair. She was able to transform my hair into something so luxurious! It is genuinely like SILK! Incredibly relaxing experience with pleasant conversation! Top tier products that smell delectable--as always! Highly recommend Abby! Her work is unmatched!!! Thank you, Abby!!

Tae always does an amazing job. She’s the only person who I trust to cut my curls. You can tell she really listens to what you ask her to do with your hair. She even made me my favorite drink to sip on while I got my hair cut. Such a pampering experience, I can’t recommend her enough!

Best hair experience ever! Came into the salon for extensions after I lost my hair to chemo. I was wearing wigs and wanted something more natural and less hot for the summer. My wigs were very uncomfortable and only gave me minimal styles to do. Nae, Nathaly, and Caryn learned mesh integration and gave me the most amazing hair! To ensure a smooth experience for all clients, we require 72-hour notice for cancellations (50% fee applies within this window; 100% for same-day or no-shows). Late arrivals over 15 minutes may result in adjusted or rescheduled services. Satisfaction is our priority—contact us within 7 days for service adjustments (no refunds). Products can be returned within 14 days if unopened; opened items only if defective. A valid credit card is required to book. Legacy Hair By Kaur began as a dream I brought to life in 2007 with the opening of Kaur Lounge—a space devoted to expert haircare and true client connections. From the beginning, I envisioned a sanctuary where clients would feel seen, valued, and transformed. Through a commitment to personalized, high-quality hair experiences, I cultivated a loyal community that cherished these principles  The name “Kaur,” meaning “princess” in Punjabi, holds deep significance in my family, honoring the women who came before me—my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. This legacy of strength and elegance has always been at the heart of my work.  My journey into the industry began with an apprenticeship in Vancouver, BC, in 1993, which sparked a passion for learning and the development of new talent. This experience shaped my career and remains a guiding force in how I approach my work today. Hi there! My name is Caryn, the owner here at Legacy Hair! I started my journey in the beauty industry doing an apprenticeship in Vancouver BC when I was 18 years old. I travelled a lot before settling into Bellingham and opening my salon in 2007. I love all things hair, especially hair extensions. I have multiple certifications in different methods and definitely consider myself a hair extension specialist. I have a huge passion for education as well as mentoring new stylists. My other hobbies include traveling, gardening, skiing and pilates.

I want to provide gender affirming, empowering, and confidence-boosting looks to queer and trans people. Outside of the salon you can usually find me reading, playing with my dogs, or exploring! I am a long-time Bellingham local and love to try new places.

I am a Mexican girl who loves to learn new things. I love animals and taking care of the environment. I have three cats that live with me here in the United States and five more in Mexico. I am passionate about my career as a cosmetologist because I like to make others feel good about themselves. I also like to travel and get to know different places and their cultures. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited are Costa Rica, Europe (especially Paris), Canada, and Cancun, Mexico. I also really like music; I used to play alto saxophone and I am currently learning to play the guitar.
