Legacy hair by Kaur. specializes in hair extensions. Utilizing multiple hand tied methods to focus on scalp and hair health more than anything. There is no tape or glue involved in our process. Your extensions will be discreet, comfortable and versatile for your lifestyle.

During your personalized consultation, we will assess your hair goals, color match, and recommend the best option for your lifestyle and desired look. This in-depth appointment ensures we craft a customized plan tailored just for you. The $65 consultation fee will be applied toward your extension service when you move forward with your installation appointment.

For any guests that are looking for a big change in their overall look. And if it’s been longer than 10 weeks from your last color service, we reserve this appointment for more time with you.

Academy Transformational Color

Indulge in a relaxing experience with our blowout service. This begins with our signature aromatherapy ritual, a luxurious wash, conditioning with a scalp massage, and a professional blow dry, leaving your hair, smooth, styled, and refreshed.

Academy Blowout

Sometimes referred to as a bleach and tone. This is a global lightning color application.

Academy Double Process Color

A very subtle color change. This is typically referred to as a toner. This is to enhance and refine your current hair color.

Academy Gloss

This service consists of our  aromatherapy  ritual, a wash, condition with scalp massage,your personalized haircut and our signature blow dry.

Academy Haircut

Customizable nontoxic, smoothing treatment that lasts up to six months.

Academy Pura Luxe

This blonding service is for existing guests who have had blinding done within the last eight weeks.

Academy Maintenance Blonding

Looking to add texture and long lasting curls? Our perm service creates beautiful, defined curls or waves tailored to your desired style.

This blinding service is for guests that have existing blonde throughout their hair and need more of a full refresh. Previous blinding done within the last 10 weeks.

Legacy Hair By Kaur began as a dream I brought to life in 2007 with the opening of Kaur Lounge—a space devoted to expert haircare and true client connections. From the beginning, I envisioned a sanctuary where clients would feel seen, valued, and transformed. Through a commitment to personalized, high-quality hair experiences, I cultivated a loyal community that cherished these principles  The name “Kaur,” meaning “princess” in Punjabi, holds deep significance in my family, honoring the women who came before me—my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. This legacy of strength and elegance has always been at the heart of my work.  My journey into the industry began with an apprenticeship in Vancouver, BC, in 1993, which sparked a passion for learning and the development of new talent. This experience shaped my career and remains a guiding force in how I approach my work today. As Kaur Lounge evolved into Legacy hair by Kaur. and now Legacy Hair By Kaur, I’ve continued to prioritize growth, innovation, and a return to the core values that inspired me.  Legacy Hair By Kaur stands as a testament to this journey—a blend of artistry and tradition, dedicated to providing every client with a transformative experience that honors the legacy I hold close to my heart.

To ensure a smooth experience for all clients, we require 72-hour notice for cancellations (50% fee applies within this window; 100% for same-day or no-shows). Late arrivals over 15 minutes may result in adjusted or rescheduled services. Satisfaction is our priority—contact us within 7 days for service adjustments (no refunds). Products can be returned within 14 days if unopened; opened items only if defective. A valid credit card is required to book. Only clients with appointments are allowed in service areas; children must be supervised. For group bookings, contact us ahead of time.

Hi there! My name is Caryn, the owner here at Legacy Hair! I started my journey in the beauty industry doing an apprenticeship in Vancouver BC when I was 18 years old. I travelled a lot before settling into Bellingham and opening my salon in 2007. I love all things hair, especially hair extensions. I have multiple certifications in different methods and definitely consider myself a hair extension specialist. I have a huge passion for education as well as mentoring new stylists. My other hobbies include traveling, gardening, skiing and pilates.

Hi I'm Jaxx! I have had a passion for fun and funky hair for as long as I can remember. I love bright fun colors, lots of texture, and even sleek modern looks! My goal is to provide a space for guests to feel safe and heard, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community. I want to provide gender affirming, empowering, and confidence-boosting looks to queer and trans people. Outside of the salon you can usually find me reading, playing with my dogs, or exploring! I am a long-time Bellingham local and love to try new places.

Hello I'm Tanaya! A lot of people call me Nae. I am a new stylist to Legacy Hair Co. and I am so excited to be taking clients and getting you in my chair! I enjoy all natural texture, any kind of coloring and being able to work with guest's to create a beautiful look for everyone! I am a Mexican girl who loves to learn new things. I love animals and taking care of the environment. I have three cats that live with me here in the United States and five more in Mexico. I am passionate about my career as a cosmetologist because I like to make others feel good about themselves. I also like to travel and get to know different places and their cultures. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited are Costa Rica, Europe (especially Paris), Canada, and Cancun, Mexico. I also really like music; I used to play alto saxophone and I am currently learning to play the guitar.
